The path to coached|by|design inc. was not easy or simple...but what is?

My reason for launching coached|by|design inc. is pretty simple.  I never wanted anyone to feel the way I did when I began a sales career in real estate.  I thought I did the right things. What it didn't have, which proved to be near disastrous, was coaching and training.

After almost two years of aimless shots in the dark, I finally got smart (or smarter, at least).  I realized that I didn't have the plans, skills or tools needed to really be a success.  Despite the lack of knowledge, I had managed to succeed on small levels.  I was lucky enough to have a strong Sphere of Influence (even if I didn't know what that was at the time) and I wasn't shy.  Thankfully, people took pity on me!  I failed my way forward each and every day.

 

Once I realized that I needed someone or something to help me learn and grow, I was fortunate to find a coach and a mentor to guide me.   I attended every training I could reasonably travel to.  I developed systems and tools.  And my failures...and sheer determination paid off. 

 

The first time I was asked to teach, speak and then coach, I was petrified!  Who was I to teach or coach anyone else? Never one to back down from a challenge, I did it.  I truly believe I got more out of the experience than my clients!  Watching the excitement and understanding spark in others was one of the most rewarding experiences I had to date.  And so, the path changed direction. We launched a firm geared towards helping other grow, thrive and win!

 

Since that time, I have continued to fail my way forward and we, as a team, have grown and thrived.  We have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to run some of the largest and most profitable real estate offices in the country. We have led startups poised for growth.  We have been tasked with leading large organizations throught change. We have recruited hundreds of individuals and have been allowed to coach and train over 5,000 people in sales, real estate, non-profit and communications.
